I was going through some old pictures and videos from college the other day and all I could do was shake my head. I was having a good ole time!

I know you probably are reading this like what? Keon, the faith leader was outside 👀 lol Yes, I've engaged in activities that I'm not proud of.
We family right? I learned early on in my walk that I can impress people with my achievements but the real impact comes from my scars, lessons and vulnerability. I pray that you all don't judge me. I felt led to share this message, along with my testimony below to remind you that God will use anybody he chooses, despite your past. He often doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies who He calls. (Ephesians 2:10 NLT)
As I continued to grow closer to God, the enemy started attacking me even more, particularly against my mind. He began to bring up my past and the things I've done that weren't necessarily pleasing to God. I'm sharing this because, as I was praying, I heard God saying that the enemy has been attacking some of you all's minds the same way he did me.
I don't know who this is for but I want to encourage you to stop letting your past define you. I'm here to remind you that You are not your past mistakes! You are not what happened to you, You are who You choose to become. When I first rededicated my life to Christ, I came across this verse that I read everyday that I want to share with you all.
"But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy, now you have received God’s mercy."
1 Peter 2:9-10 NLT
As we continue to grow together, I want to encourage you to meditate on our Savior and not your sin. The enemy loves to use shame as one of his weapons. If you are wondering why your mind is attacked so much, it’s because Satan knows the power you hold. You are a generational change agent and can change your whole lineage. Combat those lies that the enemy places in your mind and read the scripture above daily. You are God's very own possession who was hand picked and don't ever forget it!
